Carmel Family: Just a reminder that School Picture Day is tomorrow. If you plan on purchasing portraits you must send picture money with your student/s.This needs to be exact change as change will not be made or given by Lifetouch or school staff. Picture money needs to be turned in to your student's teacher not the office, please. You also have the option of paying online if that is more convenient for you. Remember to dress your best tomorrow!

Good afternoon Carmel families. Today you are receiving a survey. This survey guaranties that all of our students receive a free breakfast and lunch for the rest of the year. We need 100% of these surveys returned to your child’s teacher to maintain our free meal status. Even if you provide a meal for your child from home, we need you to complete the survey. All of the information that is collected is confidential and will not be shared outside the district. If you do not receive a survey, please come to the front office and we’ll give you another. Thank you! #YouAreALeader

Good morning Carmel Family,

Hesperia Unified School District is pleased to announce that we will be using the Raptor Visitor Management System in all of our schools as part of our campus safety programs for students and faculty. All visitors, volunteers, and visiting staff will be asked to present a government-issued ID, such as a Driver’s License, state ID, etc. The Raptor system only checks the visitor's name and date of birth for comparison with a national database of registered sex offenders. No other data from the ID is gathered or recorded. The system is not connected to any other database such as the Department of Motor Vehicles, and information is not shared with any outside agency.
This implementation will help increase the efficiency in our offices, allowing District-approved volunteers to spend their valuable time in classrooms instead of in the front office. Thank you, in advance, for your support in enhancing safety in our schools.

Hesperia Rec and Parks District is considering Carmel for a site based after school program. This program has a weekly fee that can range from $23-$30 a week paid for by parents or guardians for those interested in enrolling their Carmel students. Currently, they are establishing an interest list for the After School Activities Program (A.S.A.P.) at Carmel for the 2019/2020 school year. However, in order to establish this program which is run by Hesperia Rec and Parks District, they would need at least 25 kids to sign up with an interest packet for it to be official.
Please note: This is NOT a free. This is a fee based program payable by the parent or guardian. Please see attached flyer for further information or visits the following weblinks.
