Vex Virtual Worlds 2020 will begin tomorrow, April 25th at 9:30 a.m. Tune into the Vex Robotics Youtube channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/vexroboticstv/featured to view the virtual competition. With the cancellation of large events due to COVID-19, our six Maple Vex robotics teams were unable to compete in the State competition or the Worlds competition. Mr. Ortega and our Maple robotics students recently found out that Vex is holding a VIRTUAL worlds competition where matches will be simulated online. 540 teams worldwide qualified for this Virtual, online simulated event based upon their rankings at the conclusion of the in person tournaments. We are so very proud to announce that two of our Maple teams are amongst the 540 teams WORLDWIDE qualified to participate in the event!!! It is a virtual, online simulation, so there will be no in person matches or traveling, but we are beyond proud of our Mountain Lions!! They’re hard work and dedication is unmatched! The virtual online event will take place on April 25th (details on how you can view the virtual event to come soon). Due to rain in the forecast the Hesperian Ninja Warrior Finals will be rescheduled to FRIDAY, APRIL 3 2020. Elementary will start at 8:00 AM, middle school at 10:15 AM, and high schools at 11:15 AM.

Many of our 3rd-6th grade students participated in try-outs to be a part of our Maple team to compete in HUSD’s Great Hesperian Ninja Warrior Competition! All of our mountain lions did an awesome job! The two students with the fastest times will join two Maple staff members to compete at the finals on March 10th at Hesperia High School 🐾🐾 #MapleROARs
