Cougar Families - Before beginning the new school year, it is REQUIRED that all parents complete the Parent Portal Update in Campus Parent. This replaces the paper emergency cards, media release forms, etc., that were previously sent out at the beginning of the school year. Teacher assignments will be posted in your Campus Parent accounts on Monday, August 1st. In order to view that information, your portal update will need to be completed by this Thursday, July 28th. Cougar Families ~ We will be having a a tactical training on our campus tomorrow, Thursday, July 21st, from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, which will involve both our HUSD Police Department and the San Bernardino County Sheriff Department. This will include loud noises and a large police presence for training purposes. Please avoid coming to the Carmel campus during this timeframe tomorrow. The start of the 22-23 school year is quickly approaching! Registration is open and our staff is back in the office ready and willing to help with all registration questions. If you have an incoming TK/kindergarten student, we would encourage you to start the registration process as soon as possible so that they can start school on the first day! Our very own Mrs. Karla Murillo, ELD instructional aide, was selected by CSEA Chapter 684 as a recipient of a $500 scholarship towards continuing her education. She was presented with flowers and a beautiful certificate last week to celebrate this accomplishment! This scholarship will help her reach her goal of becoming a teacher. We were soooo excited to finally get to celebrate our Million Minutes in March reading challenge accomplishment with a very special performance by the awesome BMX guys today! Our Cougars had a blast and especially loved seeing them jump over Mrs. Adams during the show (Mrs. Adams was definitely far more nervous than they were, ha!)!
